Janine Mikosza is a writer with a background in visual art and a PhD in sociology.
Her memoir, ‘Homesickness’, on remembering and forgetting her many childhood homes, was published to critical acclaim by Ultimo Press in 2022.
Janine’s essays and short stories are published in literary journals and anthologies and appeared in publications including The Kenyon Review, Electric Literature, The Best Australian Essays, and Meanjin. Her work has also been awarded and listed for prizes.
The Share House Project is my ongoing collaboration with visual artist Stephanie Jones exploring memory and childhood homes. Exhibitions at Art, Not Apart Festival in 2019 and At Home for the Design Canberra Festival 2020.
